Principal/Vice-Principal Appointments

The Quesnel School District is pleased to announce the following appointments effective August 1, 2026:

Principal – Dragon Lake Elementary

Ms. Sue Saip has been appointed as principal of Dragon Lake Elementary.  Ms. Saip has been in the principal position at Parkland Elementary since August 2023.

Ms. Saip holds a Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology degree and will be replacing Ms. Corry Climenhage.

Principal – Parkland Elementary

Ms. Corry Climenhage has been appointed as the principal of Parkland Elementary.  Ms. Climenhage has been in the principal position at Dragon Lake Elementary since August 1, 2024 and previous to that was the principal at Parkland Elementary and Bouchie Lake Elementary Schools.

Ms. Climenhage holds a Master of Curriculum & Pedagogy in Music Education degree and will be replacing Ms. Sue Saip.

Principal – Barlow Creek Elementary

Ms. Shauna Lothrop has been appointed as the principal of Barlow Creek Elementary.  Ms. Lothrop has been in the vice-principal position at Voyageur Elementary since December 31, 2025 and previous to that was the district vice-principal of Early Learning and Childcare.

Ms. Lothrop holds a Master of Curriculum and Pedagogy degree and will be replacing Ms. Nancy Danuser.

Vice-Principal – Carson Elementary and Principal-Nazko Valley Elementary

Ms. Nancy Danuser has been appointed as the vice-principal of Carson Elementary and the principal of Nazko Valley Elementary.  Ms. Danuser has been in the principal position at Barlow Creek Elementary since August 1, 2023 and previous to that was the principal of Kersley Elementary and vice-principal of Lakeview Elementary.  Ms. Danuser will remain as the principal of Wells/Barkerville Elementary School.

Ms. Danuser holds a Master of Education in Special Education degree and will be replacing Ms. Jolene King at Nazko Valley Elementary.  The vice-principal position at Carson Elementary is a new position to the district due to the opening of the new school in September 2026.
